Sizzling karahi, slow-cooked nihari, aromatic dum biryani and charcoal tandoori BBQ — bold, home-style flavours served to Westwinds and all of NE Calgary, six days a week (closed Tuesdays), from 11 AM to 11 PM.
Foodies Calgary is a locally owned, independent restaurant rooted in Northeast Calgary's Westwinds community. We started with one goal: cook the Pakistani and Indian food we grew up with, keep every ingredient halal, and serve it in portions generous enough to share. No shortcuts, no watered-down spice.
Our chicken dum biryani, chicken karahi, butter chicken and slow-cooked beef nihari have become house signatures, alongside the loaded Foodies BBQ Platter of chicken tandoori, seekh kababs, chicken tikka and fish tikka. Add paratha rolls, chaat, crispy pakoras and naan straight from the tandoor.
Families, students and shift workers all find their way here — for a quick lunch, a group dinner, or a family meal any day of the week. We serve 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM Monday and Wednesday through Saturday (Sundays from 12:00 PM, closed Tuesdays), with dine-in, takeout, delivery and catering across Northeast Calgary.

Best desi food in NE Calgary! The chicken karahi and beef nihari are incredible — rich, spicy, and full of flavour just like home. Huge portions and everything is halal. Love grabbing a hot plate on the weekend when I’m craving good biryani.
