Our biggest grill order and the centrepiece of any group table: chicken tandoori, chicken kabab, beef kabab, chicken tikka and fish tikka, all charcoal-grilled to order and piled onto one platter with naan and chutneys.
The Foodies BBQ Platter is what we bring out when a table wants everything. Each component is marinated separately — yogurt and tandoori masala for the chicken, a hand-mixed spice blend for the seekh kababs, a lighter citrus-and-chilli rub for the fish — then grilled fresh over high heat.
Nothing is grilled ahead of time, so the kababs arrive juicy and the tikka carries real char. It is sized for four to six people, which makes it the default order for family gatherings, birthdays and post-event dinners across Northeast Calgary.
Every skewer goes on the grill only after you order. That is the difference between BBQ that tastes smoky and juicy and BBQ that has been sitting under a heat lamp. It takes a few extra minutes and it is worth every one of them.
